Yen arrived to our sanctuary, along with his brother Yuan, from the pound.
Now 6 months old he is really hoping he can find his forever home where he can start learning all about the world. He is a typical springer, full of life and energy but equally full of kindness, fun and love. Yen loves to play ball and to stretch his legs galloping around our fields. He has met other dogs and can initially be a little shy or wary of them until they say hello.

Yen is a submissive boy towards other dogs and we also feel he could live with a dog savvy cat. He may be a little too bouncy for toddlers but could live happily with respectful older children without issue due to his kind nature.
Yen would love a home with a playful, kind older dog who would show him the ropes or a home with people at home a lot. He needs his new humans to love long walks, adventures, hikes and forests as he needs to stretch those legs and keep stimulated.

He is a super kind pup who just needs humans willing to give him his chance to grow and blossom under their love and care.

We welcomed these two gorgeous brothers, Yen and Yuan, to Heathlawn. They were previously surrendered into the care of Offaly County Council Dog Shelter and waited for us to have the space to help.
Born in early August 2024 Yen is full of puppy energy on top of his average Springer energy, so there's a whole lot of energy in his wriggly body, believe us! But, in true Spaniel style, Yen is full of fun, love and joy too.
They are learning to walk (do springers ever walk?) on harnesses and love a game of fetch, in between the cuddles that is. He needs a home that can fulfill his springer needs of long, mucky, wet walks, hikes and adventures keeping him mentally and physically stimulated.
He is a busy, busy boy but so adorable and willing to learn and, maybe, listen?
They will not be rehomed together and will be neutered at a later date when he is old enough. He requires a fully secure garden and an indoor home.
