Leggs arrived before Christmas after he turned up at the back door of a house very cold, hungry and with an injury to his leg. He arrived into our care a few days later. Leggs had no idea of what it was to be a pet. He had little, if any, connection with us but we have worked hard at getting him to interact and listen.
Leggs is a super boy who now enjoys his cuddles and attention but he also has Springer genes which may not be for everyone. He is extremely strong on the lead which we continue to work on and being kennelled 23 hours a day doesn't help but Leggs does calm down once he has been out for a walk or play.
We discovered that, in true springer style, Leggs loves the water and another passion of his is the tennis ball (or balls) as he stuffs them into his mouth. He has walked and behaved well beside other dogs, usually ignoring them as he just wants to get exploring.
Leggs definitely needs a home with someone with a love of adventures and the outdoor life, He is best suited to a home with plenty of space or a home willing to get him out on long walks every day with adventures at the weekend. He needs a fully enclosed garden too.
Leggs will need continued work on his lead training but he is quick to learn and is already enjoying learning recall, agility, sit and other commands so working his mind is as equally important .
Leggs is approximately 4 years old, is always clean in his kennel and has so much potential in the right hands and home.
Leggs is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
