Harney

Super sweet boy Harney came into our care just 2 weeks ago after he was found abandoned on a rural laneway, emaciated and extremely nervous. He has made great progress in such a short time. He is gentle, kind, affectionate and absolutely loves other dogs but he is struggling with the outside world even on such a quiet laneway as ours. Cars scare him, cows scare him, ESB men up a ladder scare him.

We can only imagine the traumas he must have faced during his early days to have made him so wary and untrusting. But we know that there is an amazing boy inside who just needs a quiet, patient home willing to introduce him to the world, slowly.

A rural home with another confident dog would be ideal and with humans willing to take things at Harneys pace. The rewards of watching a nervous dog blossom and grow are like no other. We are hoping for a forever home for Harney or even a foster home that fits his criteria, one that will help Harney through this chapter of his journey.
