Palm
Little terrier x girl Palm is approximately 14/16 months old. She is another little one let down so badly by humans before being rescued off the streets of Ballinasloe after being seen straying for over a week.
Palm arrived with a mistrust of humans but has now grown into just the sweetest girl but who still takes a little time to be your best friend (food helps 🤣)and once comfortable in your company she loves a little cuddle.
She is not the most bravest of souls in new situations so we feel Palm would benefit greatly from another similar sized gentle, playful dog in her life as she loves their company and it will give her the confidence she sometimes lacks.
Palm has had a couple of trips into town with her bestie Roly the chi x and was so good. Again we feel that a quieter environment would suit Palm best, so a country or small town would be best while she learns to adapt to the world which wouldn't take too long.
Palm is one of those dogs who is everything rescue is truly about. She doesn't always shine at a meet and greet and people don't always see passed the little girl who doesn't automatically want to sit on their lap straight away but it's in there, we just need someone to see it and to give Palm the chance she hasn't so far managed to find.
Fun...playful and loves a mad zoomie around the fields much to Rolys disgust, as he is more sedate. She is clean overnight, walks on her lead and just wants to be loved.
There is such an amazing character buried inside Palm just waiting to blossom. Can you be that special person to help her grow?
Please remember that a fully secure gardens is required.

Palm is a tiny terrier x girl who is approximately 1 year old. She arrived after she was seen straying around the town of Ballinasloe and evaded capture for quite some time due to her terrible fear of people and the ordeal of abandonment.
Since arriving Palm has blossomed into just the sweetest little girl. She still has lots to learn about life and will no doubt be a little wary as she transitions from rescue dog to home dog but would benefit greatly from another confident, kind dog in her life.
Palm needs a home willing to help her on her next stage of her journey. Patience, kindness and love go a long way in all our lives and Palm is no exception. She walks on a lead well and is clean overnight. Sie is a loving girl who is full of fun and full of character.
Are you the one to give Palm her chance?

While people were celebrating St Patrick's Day across the country, this tiny little girl was running the streets of Ballinasloe terrified. We have since found out she had been seen straying for over a week at that stage. Too afraid to let anyone near her but desperate to find safety, she eventually was cornered and, thanks to the kindness of a couple of people, found herself safe within our sanctuary walls a couple of days later.
A tiny girl weighing only 5kg who looked even smaller as she tried to huddle into a ball hoping that if she couldn't see us then we couldn't see her. We have dogs arrive to us with this level of fear hundreds of times but your heart still breaks for them as they arrive so scared they can't even look at us.
We gave Palm some space for a couple of days and then took her out for a little sniff and we discovered her very sweet and loving side who, while still shy, was coming slowly up to us for cuddles and love. Palm has now gone into a foster home where she can relax and start to learn about living in a home.
She would love a quiet forever home in a not too busy environment where she can blossom slowly with kind and patient people willing to go at her pace. Palm is sweet natured, gentle and kind but just needs someone to see past her initial shyness until she learns us humans are not all the same.
Palm is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped (available on request).
