Bluebell
Now puppy free, after rearing her 4 babies, it really is time for Bluebell to find her forever home.
This small lab x young girl, who is still a puppy herself approximately 14months, has come a long way from the terrified, confused mum that we rescued. Bluebell is just the happiest, sunniest, sweetest, most affectionate and fun loving girl who has a warm welcome for everyone she meets. Ideally she would love another doggy friend in the home as she continues to grow in confidence and learn all about a world she was previously shut away from, after being a back yard dog.
Bluebell has not been exposed to busy streets/traffic etc so ideally a quiet area or another confident dog to lead would be great though she absolutely loves going out in the car. Bluebell is currently living with another dog and a dog savvy cat and she loves them both.
Please help Bluebells dreams of a forever sofa and family of her own come true.

*************
You may remember Bluebell who came into our care at the end of November as a terrified, shut down, skinny 1 year girl trying desperately to feed and keep her four 2 week old pups alive. Thankfully the next day Anne, an experienced GSPCA fosterer, and her family stepped up to offer this little family a safe haven at their home.
That was 2.5 months ago and today, thanks to her foster family, Bluebell is like a different dog. Her coat is shiny her eyes are bright but, above all, she is the happiest, young girl that she never got to be in her former life. Her four puppies all headed off to their forever homes last week as did, who we believe to be, Dad (though he never did actually own up). Bluebell is the last of this brave, resilient little family and it's now her turn to shine.
Bluebell is a small Lab x (springer size) and she has to have one of the kindest, gentlest most forgiving dogs with the most loving nature ever. She loves to say hello to people and has a great welcome for everyone. She is housetrained, travels well in the car and has learned to walk on a lead. She loves a play and a zoomie around the garden but equally loves her snuggles and chill time too.
Bluebell currently lives with a dog savvy cat. She would absolutely love a home with another dog who can help her settle in and hopefully be up for a game or two. She could live with older, respectful children. While Bluebell is going from strength to strength we feel that a more rural home may be best as she is still being introduced to new things in her world such as traffic etc. A home with humans at home a lot would be ideal as she loves company but she could be left for a few hours at a time with another dog. She is clever and quick to pick up new things so ongoing training will be fun and rewarding. We think you will all agree that this special lady deserves only the very best of homes after all she has overcome in her short life.
Bluebell will bring much love, joy and fun to one very lucky home. She is vaccinated and microchipped. Her milk has now dried up but Bluebell will not be spayed for another couple of months while her body recovers but as per our adoption contract she will be in due course.
