This young (approximately 7 month old) beautiful pup was seen running terrified on a busy road, not far from our sanctuary. Despite a passer by's best efforts to help him he was too traumatised and quickly disappeared into fields. He had been seen earlier that day with another dog but they then must have been separated as his friend was caught later that evening.

The following morning our kennel manager received a call from a local lady to say a lovely dog had appeared at her house late the night before and she had kept him safe. As our kennel manager arrived to collect the dog she knew it was possible that it was the dog from the night before that no one had been able to catch. And it was!

We have named him Piggott and we were able to reunited Piggott with his little hairy friend who we have named McCoy.

Piggott is a mixed breed and is just one of those dogs who has the best personality and the biggest heart. He just wants to be loved despite being let down by humans. He loves being in human company especially for cuddles. He gets on great with other dogs and has the biggest smile.

Piggott has no idea of what a lead is but we will continue to work on that. He is looking for a home where he can have humans around most of the day as he just loves their company.
Humans who will show him what it is to be a part of a family and allow him to join in in most of their adventures and outings.
He would ideally love the company of another dog to help show him the way though it's not a deal breaker if his humans are willing to be there for him. He truly is one of those boys who will be your most loyal and loving best friend.

Piggott may still have some growing to do and will probably be a medium sized dog when he is fully grown. If you are looking for a new best friend, Piggott may be it.
