A few weeks ago this very handsome 8 year old Irish Red and White Setter arrived to our sanctuary. He had previously been living in a back yard with access to a shed for shelter. Prior to that he had obviously been passed around from pillar to post, god knows just how "back yards" he has lived in during his life. Yet his tail still wags and he is sweet and biddable though, sadly, he has no understanding that humans can give cuddles and love and, at times, looks at us with a confused look on his face but he is learning fast.

Eclipse loves getting out for his walks and today he had a stroll around our local Marina, ending up in the coffee shop as he waited for the humans to get their lattes. He also enjoys a run around our fields and makes sure to wait at the gate for his slower 2 legged companions.

Eclipse is clean overnight, now walks well on a harness and has learned to jump up into our van. He has met and walked with a variety of dogs and seemed comfortable with them

Eclipse is looking for his forever home. One where he will finally be loved and cherished as a member of the family and where he can enjoy walks, hikes and adventures, followed by some chill out time. Eclipse would be quite happy as an only dog and is so willing to learn all about being loved and to love you back. He really is a super boy who doesn't ask for much but has so much to give in return. We have no history of him with cats. He needs an indoor home with a fully secure garden. He is now neutered ,vaccinated and is microchipped.
