Slane, Cashel, Cahir

Rescued two months ago. as 5/6 week old babies. from horrendous living conditions, our three beautiful pupsters Slane (m), Cahir(f) and Cashel(f) are hoping to find their forever homes. Their mum Queenie is a much loved girl now in her very own forever home. She is a rough coated lurcher mix with the most amazing, sweet and kind personality that she has passed onto her pups.

Slane is our more outgoing boy who is always willing to make friends with everyone. He has a broken/scruffy coat just like his mama Queenie.

Cahir is our cheeky girl who is lighter in build and absolutely loves stretching her legs doing zoomies and is very adventurous. She, too, has the broken coat of her mum.

Cashel has and remains the shyer of the three but also has her fun loving, playful side. She was so afraid of us at the start that it's lovely to see her sweet personality shine through. Of the 3 she could probably benefit the most from having another kind dog in the home.

As with all our pups we are looking for homes where there will be somebody at home/working from home as puppies need a lot of company and supervision. We see no reason why they cannot learn to live with dog savvy cats or respectful children. They can also live with other kind dogs.

Please remember that puppies can have very sharp teeth and nails which may be too much for very young children

Slane, Cashel and Cahir are 12 weeks old it's time for this little family to fly the nest. These beautiful babies were recused from filthy, horrendous living conditions, as 6 week old babies, along with their brave mum Queenie. Mum left our care a few weeks ago to go into foster and will be heading off to her forever home next week. Her time as a puppy machine well is truly behind her.
Her babies were virtually feral upon arrival into our sanctuary. We were the first humans to ever touch them and it was pitiful to see such fear and trauma in pups so young but our team have worked very hard to rebuild and instill trust in them.

Slane is an outgoing and confident boy who definitely knows what's what and he is the ringleader of the litter often leading his siblings astray but clever enough to never get caught in the act of devilment himself. Slane could live with younger respectful children and as an only dog as long as he has human company throughout the day.

Cashel is the shyest and less confident of the group but a little girl who has come on really well since we have started lead walking. She now comes over to say hi and get a little cuddle but is still a little wary and nervous at times. A home with another kind, confident, older dog would benefit her greatly and is the home we are hoping for.

Cahir is the smallest one of the litter and was extremely nervous on arrival but a girl who is coming out of her shell with each passing week. She is a typical "tomboy" who is well able to put manners on her brothers when needed. She is a very clever little girl who is often first to try new things or to work out new ideas. She would benefit from having an older, kind, confident dog in the home as she can still have little moments of nervousness.

All four pups could live with other dogs and with the right introduction and/or dog savvy cats. They all need homes where there is someone at home all day due to their young age and secure gardens is a must.

Please note that these pups have seen nothing of life. They were born into a filthy shed of a derelict house and then came to our sanctuary, which is rural. They need homes where their adopted humans are kind, patient and willing to teach them all about a world they have never seen.

Mum Queenie is a medium sized mixed breed with a broken coat which we can now see coming through on her pups. She has the most amazing, sweet natured temperament. Dad is unknown.

We believe that they will be medium sized once fully grown. Puppies need training, routine and socialising. They will need to continue their toilet training, lead training and are at the stage where most things left lying around are theirs to chew !!!
But isn't that what rescue is all about.
