Lily
We've had great news from Lilys foster mum. After all little Lily had to go through before she arrived to us (she had a big hernia operation and steroids for a nasty chest infection) she has now got the all clear and is ready to find her forever home.
Lily is a people lover. She is happiest when she is around humans, of all ages, where she can cuddle up beside you or on you! She is also a lover of heat and can often be found toasting herself in front of the fire in her foster home.
Lily is currently in foster with other adult dogs and interacts well with them but would be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home, as long as there is someone around all day due to her young age.
Lily is just starting to walk on the lead and will need continued training to build up her confidence and momentum. Having arrived to us very underweight, Lily thinks every meal is her last and still needs to continue learning that human mealtime is not necessarily Lilys mealtime too.
She is the sweetest and kindest of girls but, like most terriers, we will be expecting a feisty, cheeky side to emerge. Terrier lovers will totally understand this. As with all our dogs and fully secure garden is required.
If you have a Lily shaped space in your heart and home please complete an adoption form.

Three weeks ago we were contacted by a member of the public who had found a tiny 10 week old terrier puppy wandering around the roads late one night. We arranged for her to come straight into our care. What arrived was a very sad baby and on further investigation we could see she had a huge hernia that caused us some worry and even more worrying was the amount of bruising on her belly that we believe was caused by "trauma" ..ie; a kick
Little Lily was lucky enough to find a foster home with the wonderful Anita who has been back to back fostering for us for some time now and a date was set for our vets to operate on Lilys hernia incase part of her intestine was in it.
Her operation went really well, thanks to Sara and the team at A Country Practice Vet Clinic, and after a few days supervised aftercare Lily was released back into the care of her foster mum where she continues to recuperate. Such a tiny, innocent baby who has already been subjected to cruelty and neglect.
Thankfully Lily is one of the lucky ones who now faces a future that will be filled with only love. She is not ready for rehoming yet as she is under assessment.
Currently curled up with a hot water bottle and big brother Gozo while she waits.
Thank you to everyone involved in Lilys journey.
