Wabbit
Unfortunately for Wabbit he has come back to our sanctuary despite having bagged himself a lovely home 3 months ago. Our Wabbit, at 9 years old, is obviously a wise little man and he quickly realised that, once he had his paws well and truly under the table which took about a day, his new mum was a tad wary of him.
Well we all know that's music to any terriers ears and Wabbit used it to his full advantage meaning that while himself and his new Dad were chilling on the sofa, poor mum was banished to the kitchen or upstairs by a little clever, grumpy, opinionated 9 year old terrier boy who wasn't sharing his sofa, Netfilx movie or Doritos with her !! We involved a wonderful trainer and for a while things settled but it only took a glare or a bark from Wabbit to send mum scurrying out of the room.
Wabbit 1 Mum 0.
We kept in constant touch but last week we truly felt this homing was not to be as mum had lost all trust in Wabbit and herself and, bar dad and Wabbit getting themselves a bachelor pad, on their own things were only escalating.
We had a little dog in our care that we knew would be absolutely perfect, a little girl who just wanted to be cuddled, loved and pampered all day (not Wabbits style) so we made arrangements for Wabbit to return to us. All joking aside, it was becoming an unhealthy atmosphere for Wabbit as well as Mum and our other little dog went in his place because it is an amazing home with an equally amazing couple who had tried so very hard to make things work with Wabbit and they both deserve to be able to love and enjoy a dog unconditionally.
So here he is, the wonderful, funny, stubborn, cheeky, loving 9 year old Wabbit who is actually a very easy going chap who doesn't really look or ask for much but is a boy who knows what he does and doesn't want. A tough little cookie who has more than likely looked after himself prior to being picked up as a stray, a straight forward, no nonsense kind of chap who would probably love to be out being busy, doing what terriers love to do.
Housetrained, easy on the lead, can be left for a few hours no problem and best as an only dog without young children or cats. Wabbit has shown no issues towards any female or, in fact, any of our staff but will obviously need a home with more confident and experienced dog owners who won't allow Wabbit to think he pays the mortgage.
He will make the most loyal and best friend and he does have lots of love to give. He loves his walks and getting out and about. He is perfect for a single or retired person.
Let's go again Wabbit, your human is definitely out there.
