We were asked to take 3 Lurchers but we only had space for one. And so arrived this big boy who we have affectionately named "Thackery Earwicket" (the March Hare in Alice in Wonderland).

He is extremely skinny under his filthy coat, had matts all over his tail, overgrown nails, a ripped ear that has not stopped bleeding and pressure sores on the underneath of his chest. But despite all that, whilst a little wary on the first day, Thackery is a happy, delightful boy who just seems so grateful and wants to be everyone's friend.

For now we are building him up weight wise and giving him back his confidence and hope.
