Stephen is, unfortunately, back looking for a second chance at a forever home. He is currently living with another cat who sadly, despite Stephen asking with all his charm, is not willing to share her home. We asked his former adopters, who shared their home with him over the past few weeks, to tell us about him in their own words.

"Stephen is the most affectionate and adorable cat I have ever met! He absolutely loves being around people and will happily sit beside you—or preferably on your lap—where he melts into your arms like a baby and falls asleep.
One of his most charming traits is his unique little meow, which sounds like a question. He often meows like this when he's caught by surprise, as if asking, Is everything okay? It’s incredibly cute!
Stephen is playful but not overly demanding. He’s curious about every toy, entertaining himself happily or joining you for a fun game of chasing a feathered pole or shoelace. Despite being playful, he’s mostly a cuddler—about 80% snuggles, 20% playtime!

He has a wonderful personality!!
Sweet & Gentle – He never hisses or swipes and he’s perfectly fine being picked up and cuddled.
Loves Affection – Head rubs are his favorite; he’ll even smush his head into your hand for more!
Tolerant & Relaxed – He doesn’t mind belly rubs or paw touches and isn’t afraid of water.
Great with Other Cats – He’s friendly, non-aggressive, and respectful of boundaries.

Things to know for a smooth Adoption!

He settles in quickly—just a couple of days in a quiet room with some company helps him adjust.
If you don’t have another cat, he’ll likely be comfortable exploring your home within a day or two.
He enjoys bursts of playtime but is otherwise a calm, happy companion.

We are heartbroken, our older cat simply does not want a friend, no matter how gentle and affectionate he is. If not for that, we would keep him in a heartbeat! He is truly a perfect, loving, and easygoing cat—someone will be very lucky to adopt him" .
