Calling all lovers of Tortitude and Spice because have we got the lady for you!!
Petunia came into our care 3 weeks ago and has made sure we know what an inconvenience to her life we have been every minute since!

Despite what she may tell you we have taken very good care of her and, despite the vet visits for her scalded legs and a full mouth extraction of her horrendously decaying teeth, she is doing well.

Petunia was moved from the cattery, where she felt quite trapped and was quite defensive, to an outdoor enclosure where she can choose if and when she interacts. She enjoyed time to decompress and settle so we could get a better idea of what she needs going forward and we are fairly sure that we are very much only here to serve her meals and clean up after her. But we can tell she longs for a connection, with the right person.

Petunia needs a forever home and we are certain that this home needs to be a very understanding and patient one and one that will love her for who she is and not one that hopes she will be something else!

Petunia is happiest when she can call the shots and when she can decide what interactions are appropriate. But she is also very much a shadow cat that enjoys watching your every move and being near you whenever possible, just don't touch. She may not have teeth but she can still give you a slap when you push her too far.

Petunia needs a home with no young children and an opportunity to give a wide berth to any that may visit. She is unfazed by the resident dogs, cats and hens that greet her daily so she could, potentially, live in a multi-pet household but we know she would much rather be the Queen of her own domain.

A home with outdoor access or outside shelter with the option to come in and relax with her people in the evening/night would be her first choice and any home offer would need to be able to keep her confined safely indoors or in a safe enclosure for a minimum of 6 weeks.

We know that she is not going to be an easy cat to home, but we also believe that in the right home she will be the perfect companion. Her personality and character are unmatched 💖
