*Hopster Update*
It has been just over a week since this little guy was found lying injured in a lady's garden in Tuam.
No Collar
No Chip
No Calls
He was brought straight to our vets for Xrays so we could see the extent of his injuries. The Xrays showed a badly fractured pelvis so Hopster, as we named him, was given pain meds and left in the care of our wonderful vets at A Country Practice Vet Clinic.
Hopster remained under their care for all of last week as it wasn't sure whether he could toilet on his own (thankfully he can) and he is now back in our care. After consulting with our own vets and Tim, the Orthopaedic Surgeon, at All Paws Vets Limerick it has been decided that Hopster will do 5 weeks of crate rest with 4/5 lead walks out to toilet only in the hope that his pelvis will knit together nicely itself.
Our saving grace is the fact that Hopster is a very quiet, well behaved chap who seems quite happy with his current set up and we will ensure that he gets lots of cuddles and attention over the next weeks.
Here's to a less "hoppy" Hopster while we do all we can to bring him back to four paws and a forever home in time.
