Oak
Oak is still waiting for a very special home. One that will keep her indoors and allow her the time and space to learn to trust her new person.
We know it's a big ask but we think she is worth it.
**May 6th
Oak came into our care a few weeks ago when it became clear that life outdoors was no longer kind to her. She had never truly known the comfort of being a pet.
She was living in a garden, being cared for from a distance, with only brief moments of connection. Over time she formed a quiet bond with a visiting family member, but sadly they weren’t in a position to bring her home permanently.
Now, Oak is getting her second chance. This gentle older lady who has already been through so much. |She has now been fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and given a much needed dental. Despite everything, she has handled it all with quiet resilience, with a few dirty looks.
Oak is not a typical lap cat but she has her own special way of showing love. She enjoys being near her person, following you from room to room and calmly observing your day.
She’s the kind of companion who brings a peaceful presence rather than demanding attention.
Oak would thrive in a quiet, indoor home where she can finally relax and feel safe. While she hasn’t lived with children or dogs before we wouldn’t completely rule it out as long as they are calm, respectful and understand that Oak needs time and space to build trust, and not every cat enjoys being petted.
Oak is FIV positive, so she would be happiest either as the only cat or with another gentle, lowkey feline who won’t cause her stress. Once she finds her person, Oak will form a deep, and loving bond but she needs someone patient, kind and willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace.
After a lifetime on the edge, Oak deserves a home where she can feel at peace and rest.
A quiet home and someone to finally call her own. Could that be you?
