Mable's journey to safety started when she wandered into a garden where a rather unimpressed resident dog made it very clear she wasn't welcome. But Mable wasn't giving up. Determined to find food, shelter and somewhere safe to rest, she kept returning despite the dog's best efforts to chase her away. The homeowners contacted us and, while we added Mable to our waiting list, they kindly found her a secure garden with shelter where she could wait safely. When space finally became available, we welcomed Mable into our cattery. She settled in beautifully from day one. She completed all of her veterinary work without any fuss and quickly showed us what a wonderful girl she is !

Mable is affectionate, gentle and absolutely adores human company of all ages. More than anything, she longs for a family of her own and a cosy spot on the sofa to call her own. Over the past two months, we've received many applications for other cats that we felt would have been perfect matches for Mable! Yet not one person chose to come and meet her. Time and again, the younger cats or the more colourful cats caught their attention instead They often chose to wait for a younger without giving Mable a second glance.

The thing is that Mable isn't old. We estimate that she is around 2 years old. She is past the kitten stage but still has so much life, love and companionship to give.

And so we are left wondering why this beautiful, loving girl is still waiting?
