Lylla
Lylla is still waiting for her purrfect forever home. Firstly, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has applied to adopt Lylla. We have received some genuinely lovely applications and we’re so grateful that so many people have fallen in love with her. Believe us, we get it!!
Unfortunately, many of those applications have been for homes with children, dogs, multiple pets or all of the above. As outlined in Lylla’s adoption post, she is not suitable for a home with children and would be happiest as an only pet, or possibly with 1 other suitable cat. These are Lylla's needs based on her personality, temperament and what allows her to feel safe and secure. While breed experience would certainly be a bonus! And she will require certain specific care. Lylla is so much more than her breed. Her comfort, happiness, and emotional wellbeing are every bit as important as meeting her breed specific needs.
We don’t place animals into homes hoping they’ll eventually adapt or learn to cope. Moving home is stressful enough without asking them to live in an environment that doesn’t suit them. We get calls all the time from owners looking to surrender pets because they don’t suit their homes or their lifestyle and that are struggling in environments that just didn’t match. We understand the importance of the right match.
Some of the applications we have received would have made wonderful homes for other cats in our care but when an application is for Lylla, our only priority is finding the home that is right for her. We know her perfect person is out there, and we’ll happily wait until they come along because that’s exactly what Lylla deserves.
Thank you for understanding and for supporting our commitment to always putting the welfare of our animals first.
If you can offer Lylla the home she needs please complete an adoption application form. Please make sure you read your confirmation email carefully*

Lylla has come into our care after her owner made the heartbreaking decision to find her a home better suited to her needs. Like many Sphynx cats, Lylla is a sensitive soul who thrives on routine, calm surroundings and being the centre of attention. She is looking for a home where she can be someone's little queen and receive all the love and companionship she craves!
Lylla would happily choose cuddles and kisses over drama but when she's feeling scared, overwhelmed or annoyed, she isn't shy about expressing herself! Her impressive screams and legendary sass would put most toddlers to shame. Once she feels safe and settled, her affectionate nature truly shines and she will happily spend her days curled up beside her favourite human.
Despite being hairless, Sphynx cats are not low-maintenance. In fact, they are often more demanding than many coated breeds. Their skin produces oils that are normally absorbed by fur, so regular bathing and skin care are needed to keep them comfortable and healthy.
Sphynx cats are also known for being extremely people-oriented and affectionate, following their humans everywhere and disliking being left alone for long periods. They have a high metabolism and a healthy appetite to help maintain body temperature. Seeking out warmth at every opportunity - sunny windows, blankets, radiators and laps are all favourites! They are intelligent, curious and often delightfully mischievous. They
form very strong bonds with their people and thrive on companionship. Potential adopters should be aware that Sphynx cats can be prone to certain health conditions and may require ongoing veterinary care. Lylla is not a cat to take on without careful research into the breed and a realistic understanding of the time, commitment and financial responsibility involved!
Lylla is looking for an adult only indoor home with someone who is home most of the time. A calm, predictable environment.
Humans who understand and appreciate the unique nature of the Sphynx breed.
Preferably a home where she can be the only pet. She may be able to live with a quiet, older neutered male cat but her ideal home is one where she can enjoy being the centre of attention.
If you believe you can offer Lylla the loving, understanding home she deserves please complete an online adoption application form.
