Beignet, Shortcake, Eclair and Macaroon have spent the last two months in the most wonderful foster home and what a difference those two months has made!

When Beignet first arrived she was an incredibly frightened little girl. She hid for long periods, wouldn't interact with her foster family and initially wouldn't even play with her siblings. Slowly, with patience and reassurance, she began to trust. Her first tiny purr after a week and a half was a very special moment and now she comes over for attention, plays, explores and purrs away happily. She is still a sensitive little soul who needs time, patience and people who will respect her boundaries. She is easily frightened by loud noises and sudden movements and wouldn't be suited to a busy home, young children or dogs.
But Beignet has found her confidence in Shortcake!

Shortcake is her complete opposite in many ways. From a very young age, like when her eyes first opened Shortcake has had an look that says it all. This confident, clever, independent lady, very much the little queen, knows exactly what she wants! She loves affection, on her terms, enjoys a cuddle when she's sleepy and has a wonderful relationship with all her siblings. But its Beignet she seems to understand particularly well, and her confidence helps Beignet feel safe. We would love Beignet and Shortcake to find their forever home together!

What makes these four so special isn't just their individual personalities it is the relationships they've built along the way and that brings us to their incredible foster family. We cannot thank their foster family enough for everything they have done for these kittens! They haven't simply cared for four kittens for two months. They have taken the time to understand them, earn their trust, recognise their individual needs and, most importantly, give them the security to become confident little personalities.

For Beignet especially, that patience has changed everything. There is nothing quite like watching a frightened kitten slowly learn that people can be trusted and knowing that her foster family gave her the time she needed to discover that.
