*Cobra Kai featuring Cicada*
Forever Home Time!!
9 weeks ago tiny Cicada entered our cattery as a stray, found all alone. He was incredibly sweet but very lonely and longed for some friends. 8 weeks ago we were asked by the vet in Portumna to help with 4 kittens who were handed in to be euthanized. These babies were not socialized and very defensive when approached by humans and so we set about trying to tame them and hoped that we could show them that we meant no harm.

It was a slow process and in a busy cattery it can often take extra convincing. As the weeks passed and so did their quarantine time, despite a few failed attempts of pairing, Cicada still hadn't found "his" friends. So we said.. why not?

The bond was very fast and before the week was out Cicada was part of the family. The Cobras realised quickly, from watching Cicada, that humans are fun and cuddles are AMAZING!! And Cicada learned how to play nice and be part of a litter!

The kittens have continued to grow and learn from one another and last week all 5 were neutered, vaccinated and microchipped! Pending second vaccinations, all that's left is forever homes 😻
The kittens are between 14 and 16 weeks and, as with all our young kitties, we are looking to home them in pairs or to homes with young, social playful cats already there, as they still have a lot more developing to go and lessons to learn!

All our social kittens must live indoors as part of the family. Outdoor access is fine once they are older, but should be supervised until they are over a year old. We see no reason they can't live with respectful children or cat savvy dogs.
