Timmy
Timmy has found the transition into our small animal unit a little overwhelming. He misses the comforts of home life, the company of people, and being part of a family. We would love nothing more than to see this lovely boy settle back into a home where he can feel safe, loved and included, once again.
Timmy is a sweet-natured, affectionate rabbit who enjoys company and loves a fuss. He thrives on interaction and is looking for a home where he can be part of everyday family life rather than simply being a pet on the sidelines. Timmy is neutered and may be able to share his home with a suitable spayed female rabbit. However, he will not be rehomed with another male rabbit for safety.
We are looking for adopters who understand that rabbits are complex, intelligent, and highly social animals! They are not low-maintenance pets as they require significant time, commitment, enrichment, and appropriate housing to ensure their physical and emotional wellbeing.
Timmy will only be rehomed to a free roam indoor home, or a home that can provide unrestricted access to a large, permanently available rabbit-safe living space. We do not believe that hutches meet the welfare needs of rabbits, as they do not provide sufficient room for exercise, exploration, or the expression of natural behaviour.
Timmy's new home must be rabbit proofed with his safety and welfare in mind. He could live with respectful children who understand that rabbits should be interacted with on their own terms. He does not enjoy being picked up or carried around and, like most rabbits, feels safest when all four feet remain firmly on the ground. His future family will need to respect his boundaries and allow him to build trust at his own pace.
Timmy is looking for a home that sees rabbits for what they truly are:
intelligent, sensitive companions who deserve space, freedom, companionship, and a life integrated with the family. In return, he'll bring plenty of character, affection, and joy to the lucky people who welcome him home.
If you can offer Timmy the understanding, commitment, and freedom that every rabbit deserves, we'd love to hear from you.
