Hastings

Hastings is a little more sure of himself than his brother Poirot but he still looks for a reassuring word or a kind hand when meeting someone new. He is a sweet, sensitive boy who blossoms with patience and understanding. He is neutered and now ready to begin the search for his forever home. Hastings can be a bit bossy at times, so we feel he would be happiest living with a female companion or on his own. He simply isn’t keen on sharing his space with other males.

Hastings and Poirot’s story is a heartbreaking one.
They were found months ago, discarded by bins in a Tuam carpark, left there like rubbish,
confused and frightened. A kind member of the public discovered them just in time.

Like so many small animals, they were likely bought impulsively and abandoned once the reality set in that they require care, time, and commitment. Their constant squabbling didn’t help either; both were unneutered young males just hitting maturity and struggling to co-exist.

Their story is a reminder that animal ownership is a responsibility that should never be taken lightly. With challenges such as housing uncertainty and rising living costs, it is more important than ever to think carefully before bringing an animal into your life. Every pet deserves a commitment that includes planning for the unexpected.

Now, Hastings is waiting for someone who sees his worth. Someone who will offer him safety, patience, and the loving home he has always deserved.
