Female Gerbils
6 baby gerbils have come into our care. Their parents, like so many rodents, were sold as a same sex pair and their owners found out a few weeks later that they were, in fact, male and female! Not only did mum give birth but she was also re-impregnated before the babies were discovered, leading to a second litter.
We offered to take both litters and help find them forever homes. We already have a home lined up for the 3 boys together and are looking for a home for the 3 girls, ideally together or as company for other young female gerbils.
As with all our animals we require ample spacious enclosures to offer them the very best lives. Gerbils love to burrow and dig and need lots of ventilation to stay happy and healthy.
In compliance with DAFM legislation, the GalwaySPCA unique certificate number is GPT200022C.
