In January ZuZu, along with her brother Nazar, were found dumped in Ballinasloe Bog as tiny 8/10 week old puppies. Thankfully, they were found and taken home by a kind local lady until we could arrange foster homes for them.
Zuzu went into foster with Sara and her family and started to learn about life as a pet. Once ready for adoption we had an application come in from a lady called Sandra who, two years ago, had adopted a collie puppy from us who we named Polar (now Polaris) who was completely deaf. Sandra and her husband Colin was now looking to add to there family having always had rescue dogs.
Sandra, Colin and Polaris arrived and, of course, it's always a joyful day in Heathlawn when our team is reunited with an old friend that they had previously loved and cared for but equally joyful was watching Polaris and Zuzu meet and hit it off straight away.
It has been a few weeks since Zuzu, now Astrid, joined the family and we hear that both dogs are inseparable and having the best fun together.
