We were asked to help re-home a beautiful Siberian. She had been purchased by a family who had hoped she would be the perfect companion for their child but, unfortunately, they were given a cat that was just not compatible with a young family. It was not the right fit!
She spent most of her days hiding under sofas and avoiding people only at night, when the house went quiet, did she come out to sit with the adults and relax. The family wanted more for her and decided it was best that she found a more suitable home.
We took Zelda in and began to get to know her so we knew what this shy beauty needed in a home. Funny enough the application that stood out the most wasn't actually for Zelda, but we know after first glance that it was the home we wanted for her!
Megan and Ian came in to meet "some cats" and it was very much an instant connection between them all and with paperwork signed, Zelda, now Gretel was on her way home!
8 months on and Gretel is very much at home with her new Mum and Dad who absolutely adore her and she them!
We received this update:-
"Just wanted to send on some photos of Gretel who used to be Zelda.
She is the best thing we ever did!
She's so affectionate and just loves to be held and rubbed! Thanks so much. She has brought us so much joy! We are absolutely delighted with her"
Rescue can be very draining on emotions and sometimes it feels like everything is negative but when we receive updates like this, it really gives us the lift we need to keep going and remember exactly why we do what we do!
Thank you Megan and Ian for the heartwarming and fabulous update X
