Tub Tubs, now Milly

Little Tub Tubs came into our care, a few weeks ago from a Pound, after she had been found straying and never reclaimed. The roundest, sweetest, kindest, affectionate and somewhat opinionated (as only a terrier can), older girl who stole the hearts of all the kennel team at Galway SPCA during her time with us. A delightful character and once she had visited our vets for routine procedures, had a full health check and we got to know her, we started looking for the perfect forever home for her. To our surprise Tubs only received a couple of applications but sometimes that's all you need if one of those applicants turns out to be the perfect match.
Early on Monday morning, Tub Tubs and our kennel manager set off on the 2 hour journey up to Mayo where a very excited lady was waiting to welcome her new best friend into her home, heart and life. It was kisses all round before Tubs did a full exploration of her new home before heading out to meet the neighbours and to let Jack the Collie know there was now a new Diva in Town.
As our kennel manager drove away all she could see was Tub Tubs trotting down the Greenway beside her new mum and friends, sniffing and stopping to say hello to everyone she met as she started her new life. The best sight for anyone in Rescue.
We hear that Tubs has now been renamed Milly and that she has settled in beautifully with Marie. She found the human bed on the first night where she blissfully snored the night away before waking mum up wondering what time breakfast was!
She has picked a favourite chair right beside the window where she can keep an eye on the neighbourhood and is enjoying her walks along the Greenways around her new home.
We are, as always, so very grateful to all the amazing people who choose to open up their hearts and give a rescue dog a second chance in life.
Thank you Marie and we wish you and Tubs/Milly many happy years together.
