Rafa, now Pam

Our teeny little girl Rafa arrived as one of 5 dogs from horrific living conditions. Wary, shy and untrusting, her eyes told us just how affected she had been by her previous life of neglect and cruelty. But, thanks to our dedicated kennel team, Rafa soon started to shine and shake of some of her past.

We felt that she was ready for rehoming and she had some lovely applications but it was during a viewing for another of our dogs, that we truly felt we had found Rafa's true match.

Pauric and Heather had adopted Turkey from us in early 2023 after he arrived into our care late on Christmas Eve in 2022. Renamed Tony they were looking for a best friend for him.
Originally, they came for a viewing with another of our dogs but as the viewing progressed we just weren't feeling the click for our dog, Tony and for Pauric and Heather. But we thought we had a little girl who might be better suited. Enter Rafa and it was almost instantly a "click" between herself and Tony a different, more positive vibe and we could almost see the friendship growing as the minutes ticked by. A little wary still with Pauric and Heather but Rafa started to follow Tonys lead and it wasn't long before she too was up beside them.

We hear that Rafa, now Pam, has settled in really well. She is slowly adjusting to home living taking her lead from her confident big brother Tony.  They have become the best of friends and are enjoying having one anothers company.

We are always so thankful to the wonderful people who choose to adopt a rescue dog and doubly grateful to those who choose to do it twice !!! Thank you Pauric and Heather for opening up your hearts and home to not one but two doggies in need. We wish you all many happy years of love and adventures together.
