Nuri

Nuri

In October we took in a middle aged lurcher girl who we named Nuri. She was scared, underweight, had mammary tumours, was covered in sores, matts and fleas, and full of worms. But, most of all, she had completely given up on life, humans and herself. She was an empty shell, devoid of any emotion or expectations after a life pumping out pups, living in filth and learning that humans brought misery.
So we set out to change all that and, though it took time, it happened and Nuri learned to be brave, happy and hopeful. As the doors of our sanctuary closed on 2024, a very different Nuri hopped into a car and settled down for the journey to Co. Kerry, with her new parents Eamon and Tara, to start a life she could only ever have dreamed of through all the dark days of her past.
Have the most wonderful life now sweet Nuri, safe in the knowledge that you will always be forever loved and cherished.
Thank you Eamon and Tara for believing that Nuri would be that special girl to join your family ❤️
