You may remember when we were called to a house, by local Gardai who had grave concerns, about the welfare and health of a tiny 6 week old Lurcher pup they had found living in absolute filth in a closed in boiler house. One of our team responded and was found was a very sick, emaciated, forlorn baby who needed immediate veterinary treatment. We named her Naji.
Thanks to our wonderful team of vets at A Country Practice Vet Clinic Nenagh, which cared for and treated this little one for over a week, baby Naji was healthy enough to be released into our care. And she started to blossom and understand that life could be a place full of good things, fun and love.
Once ready to find her forever home at 12 weeks old Naji graced our social media pages. One application caught our eye and though, never having had a Lurcher before, they had friends who had adopted one and were already in love with the breed.
Laoise and Seán went above and beyond to ensure they could give baby Naji the home she needed and instantly fell in love with her at their meet and greet. We had warned them that puppies were hard work and that Naji was quite a demanding pup, with a tendency to ignore any kind of "routine or rules" but they assured us they would put in the time and training to keep her fulfilled and happy. And they have kept their word and once again gone above and beyond for Naji.
Naji, now renamed Maggie, has settled in beautifully to their home but alot of that is down to Laoise and Seán and their commitment to her. She already knows many commands and is continuing to learn all the time which is exactly what her mind thrives on. She is balanced, well behaved, fulfilled and above all ...loved. From near death to a picture of total health and happiness. Rescued from an environment and people that very nearly killed her to a home where she is shining brighter and brighter every day.
Thank You Laoise and Seán for giving baby Naji/Maggie the life she very nearly didn't get. We wish you years of adventures and fun together.
