Our beautiful hairy girl Mallymkun (Mally) headed off over the Easter Weekend to start her new life. Derek and Vanya have always had rescue dogs, with their last two being hairy Sighthounds, so when they saw Mallymkun and her brother Nivens McTwisp appear on our social pages they put in an application.
We invited them down for a visit to meet both dogs and so we could all have a chat to find out which of them may be a possible match. Whilst they thought both dogs were lovely its all about finding the best match for both dog and humans as every dog has slightly different needs/environments and so we came to the conclusion that Mallymkun was the one best suited to their home and life.
We hear Mally, now called Wren, has settled in very well considering that this is the first time she has been in a home or away from her brother (we have no doubt she needed the break away from him as they had very different personalities).
She has been given time, space and love needed, by Derek and Vanya, to slowly settle into this new world she now finds herself in and is really starting to blossom and connect. We are so happy to know Mally/Wren will now have a life full of adventures, fun and cuddles on her very own sofa.
Thank you Derek and Vanya for choosing to adopt a GalwaySPCA Hound.
