At the end of July two of our team responded to a call about a dog that had been seen straying around fields and the local country roads for nearly a week. As they arrived there was no sign of the dog in question but it wasn't long before she answered their calls and came crawling out of a nearby hedge. She turned out to be a young Lab/Pointer girl, about 5 months old, was hungry, scared but so, so grateful to be wrapped in loving arms.
With no space at our kennels, a quick call to one of our foster homes and an hour later little Floppy was heading off home to the love and comfort of the Whyte Family. Without the amazing help from Katy, her hubby, two young boys and their own rescue dogs, we couldn't have taken Floppy in. Fostering is one of the most selfless and kindest gestures anyone can do and we are always forever grateful to those that do.
It wasn't long before Floppy was ready to find her forever home and she proved popular but we decided on a couple from Sligo. Tom and Tracey who were looking for a second rescue dog to go with their beautiful girl Polly.
It has been a month since Floppy became Dolly and joined her new family and she is having a wonderful time exploring and learning all about life as a forever dog.
Our thanks to her wonderful foster family for being there when needed and to her equally wonderful forever family who became the final link in Floppys chain of events that have changed her life forever.
