A feel good moment
When little 8 year old Dino was surrendered into our care through no fault of his own, he was understandably somewhat confused as to where he had ended up …
But like all the dogs who come through our gates we made Dino the promise we promise them all..
That we would find him the most amazing forever home …
When we read Francis and Edmonds application to adopt Dino after loosing their much loved previous dog ,we just knew we were into something very special ..
They drove up from Waterford and we made them comfortable in Pacos Den while we fetched Dino and the minute he looked through the door at them it was like he knew they were special people too..
He took a running jump onto the sofa and onto Francis lap and we watched as her face lit up with joy …
And in that second it was Edmond who turned to his wife and said …"Francis, we really have found our dog ,he is just perfect ".
And we smiled as we watched all 3 snuggled up on the sofa oblivious to us seated across the room as they kissed Dino , chatted to Dino and told him they were now his new parents.
And its moments like these that give us the strength ,the hope and the desire to keep on doing what we do …
Keep on changing lives and bringing smiles, joy and love to homes for both dog and human .
Well we hear Dino settled in as soon as he walked through the front door …
He has breakfast served to him every morning on the sofa … goes on car trips ,walks ,oversees the weekly shop and the house duties ,all from his very comfortable spot on the sofa …
He has bought back that kind of love to Francis and Edmond that us dog lovers know only too well.
A love that just fills our hearts every day that we get to share with them ..
We are so so grateful to all the fantastic people out there who choose to adopt a rescue dog ,for knowing they have so much love to bring into our lives …
Dino most certainly landed on all four paws and is now living a life he so deserved .
Francis and Edmond … thank you for being the kind, caring, compassionate folk that you truly are ..
