This little girl sent our adoption applications sky rocketing with over 80+ applications. We received many, many wonderful applications but, unfortunately, there is only one Dash. Our Kennel Manager read every single one before making a short list, then an even shorter list until she finally whittled it down to 4 and then went with her gut feeling.(She's old enough and long enough at the job now to trust her instincts.) And we really couldn't have got it more right for our somewhat opinionated, bossy, feisty little Dachshund puppy.
Tom and Aoife had been waiting for a rescue Daxie to pop up as they come from families who have had rescue dogs, so when they saw Dash appear on their social media they knew they had to put in an application. Following chats with our kennel manager, and more importantly Dashs foster family, we agreed it was the perfect match.
Last weekend saw the Ralph Family say their goodbyes, yet again, to the tiny but mighty little whirlwind pup they had all fallen in love with. But the Ralphs, after 10 years of fostering for us, know the importance of "letting go" and for that we thank them.
Aoife and Tom also knew the importance of patience, routine, commitment and love needed to offer a forever home to a new puppy. Dash, now Lola, is currently loving her new life. She has two doting parents, an extended family of dog lovers and dads work office all at her paws.
It takes many links to bring every dog full circle, from the lady who found and brought Dash to safety, to our kennel team, to our amazing foster family and finally to those wonderful people who choose to adopt.
Dash is the product of yet another back yard breeder. She was the lucky ones, her mother and siblings may not have been.
Wishing Aoife, Tom and Lola many happy years of enjoyment and fun together.
