Bye Bye Bee

Little Bee (on left) arrived to us at the end of the summer with her sister Bumble from Carlow/Kilkenny Pound.
Two super little girls who settled in fast and faced each day with the biggest smiles and waggiest tails as only a Beagle(beagle x in their case) can.
They became two very much loved girls with our kennel team and once over their spays and assessments started to put the feelers out for their separate forever homes.
Grace and her family sent in an application as after loosing two of their dogs to old age, they felt their remaining dog Maya was very lonely and somewhat lost in life .
And we understood that because Maya had been a Galway Spca before Grace adopted and we knew how much she sought comfort and confidence in other dogs whilst under our care...
So we invited them up to meet Bee...
The meet and greet was a success ,though Maya was still somewhat hesitant to befriend the very excitable, wriggly Bee who was absolutely thrilled to have made a new friend ..
We felt it wouldn't be long before Maya felt the same.
And that's exactly what happened a couple of mornings later as Grace watched from the kitchen window onto the back garden where Maya and Bee were ...
It went from causal pottering to full on zoomies and play with Maya leading the way ...
For Grace watching them was exactly what she had hoped for when she had come looking to find Maya a friend
Maya had found her mojo again and it was all because of a little, fun loving, sweet natured girl called Bee.
Its been a month now since Bee joined her new family and things have gone from strength to strength.
Bee has learned all about family life and what it feels like to belong and Maya has a new sister that she can play and snuggle up with .
Its exactly what adoption should look like ...
Joy..
Happiness..

We are as always forever grateful to all the amazing families who choose to adopt a Galway Spca Rescue Dog(or two)
Wishing you all many happy adventures together .
