Arcadia

Arcadia came into our care after she was found lying exhausted and emaciated in Poolboy Bog, Ballinasloe. Just the sweetest, kindest girl you could meet.
A lovely lady named Tracey contacted us volunteering to foster Arcadia but she had two very young children. We arranged a meet and greet and from the moment Arcadia met the little humans we could see that she would be their big sister and protector in true GSD style. It was amazing to watch as she instinctively seemed to know just what her role would be. She sat quietly beside them, moving with them as the little one toddler around but keeping a respectful distance.
A few months on and Arcadia has now been formally adopted by Tracey and her family and Arcadia continues to be big sister to her two small humans. She is calm and gentle, loving and reassuring around them, showing us just how amazing this breed can be.
Sometimes rescues come under fire for being too strict with their rehomings, for having too many rules such as no small children. It's about each individual dog and what works for them and we love nothing more than to see young children grow up respecting and in the love of a dog.
We are forever grateful to Tracey for stepping up when Arcadia needed someone the most, for sharing her GSD experience with her to ensure a happy and safe environment for all the family to enjoy.
Arcadia, proving rescue dogs truly do rock.
