It was an extra busy weekend as Team GalwaySPCA was on the move from for Pet Expo 2023, in Dublin. It was a chance for us to promote our work and raise some much needed funds with our merchandise and pet supplies but also to meet lots of like minded people, both from other rescues and the general public. We also got to meet up with some familiar faces with 4 paws.
For two of our long term sanctuary dogs, Quarrie and Ovaltine it was a chance for them to have a day out away from kennels and to show us how they would cope in a world they know little about.
Both Quarrie and Ovaltine are 2 of our shyer, more cautious dogs in kennels but oh my goodness did they prove us wrong, especially Quarrie who emerged as a social butterfly before all our eyes, leaving us a little loss for words to be honest.
As always a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported us, it is always very much appreciated.
And to those from our amazing team who gave up their spare time and days off to make sure that Galway SPCA was represented.
Not forgetting our two resident dogs Quarrie and Ovaltine plus 6 former GalwaySPCA dogs who are always ready to represent rescue dogs at so many of our events Birdie, Chorus, Nidge, Mr.Magoo, McLaren (begrudgingly ) and Bella.
