It is that time of year again when we honour everyone's favourite grumpy, opinionated, chicky loving boy that waddled his way into all our hearts over a number of years as he ran riot across our social media pages, bringing tears of joy and laughter to many and tears of woe to his long suffering "D'mum". This year its made extra special as we will walk in fond memory of our wonderful long serving volunteer, Marlene, who so sadly passed away in January this year.
Oliver and Marlene were the best of friends here on earth and we have no doubt they remain together, watching over us now as we prepare to walk in their honour. We are in need of some much needed funds as our kennels and cattery remain full, caring for so many animals all in need of care, many in need of extensive veterinary care.
A fun day for all the family especially for all the doggies in your life. A 5km walk along the paths of Portumna Forest Park or a 1km walk (Oliver himself decided that was far enough in his time) or for those fitter humans amongst us why not come and run it with your dog!(We will see you at the finish line).
A small but fun dog show after (classes will be listed soon) plus BBQ, refreshments and a raffle too. We will have our GPCA Stand with our merchandise and lots of other doggie items for sale.
We would love to see as many of you on the day with your furry friends (or just your good selves). If you can;t make it on the day but would still like to donate in memory of Oliver and Marlene please do.
