A huge and heartfelt thank you to everybody who came out today to support our 5km Fundraiser Oliver Walk. A poignant day as we also walked in memory of our volunteer Marlene, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Marlene's dogs Betsy and Bailey led the walk. It was a great turn out, despite the weather, and lovely to see so many beautiful dogs walking with their humans.
We would like to say thank you to Coillte for allowing us to use Portumna Forest Park, to Geraghtys Family Butchers in Mountbellew for their kind sponsorship of our BBQ and to local business Pearse O Donoghue Barber Shop, Lollipopz Kidswear Portumna and Maeve Moran Fitness for their spot prizes for our raffle. Also to A Country Practice Vet Clinic for their sponsorship of our Dog Show.
The Dog Show was a great success with every dog being a winner in our eyes. Thank you to Sara Vet for judging.
Thanks to those on our GSPCA team of volunteers who came out today to ensure everything ran smoothly from our merchandise stall, teas/coffees, BBQ and entries.
Thank you to our kennel team who put in a full days work as well as getting some of our kennel dogs out on the walk too.
A total of €1,871.35 raised today for which we are truly grateful.
