Little 6 year old cocker girl Jaffa was found abandoned on a bog in Co. Offaly in April. Terrified, mangy and showing signs of having been used for breeding, over and over again. She entered Offaly Dog Pound and in turn came to us.
Jaffa was so scared of humans she would urinate any time we touched her, she had never been on a lead and, worst of al,l she had a limp which turned out to be a floating patella. This meant that Jaffa had to undergo surgery but first we wanted to get her to the point where she could be handled without the raw fear she arrived with.
Thanks to our dedicated and compassionate kennel team who once again worked their magic, it wasn't long before Jaffa was actually demanding their cuddles. And just before her op was due in early June, Jaffa had visitors.
Catherine and Susan (sisters) had already had cockers previously and when they saw Jaffas post as she arrived, they got in touch.
Once Jaffa was over her op, thanks to @All Paws Veterinary Clinic Limerick, Catherine and Susan came to visit. The rest is history and Jaffa now fully healed lives a life full of love and beach walks in Galway City.
We are, as always forever, grateful to all the amazing families who choose to adopt one of our equally amazing doggies.
