Extra Funds for Tria

*Warning - Some viewers may find some photos upsetting*
A couple of weeks ago you may have seen our weekend of madness when our kennel team rescued 9 dogs in 24 hours and some need life saving surgery. With such a huge influx of dogs in such a short space of time, it pushed our resources to their limit, especially financially.

A Go Fund Me was set up and were absolutely blown away by the support we received from so many kind, emphatic and generous people who raised €8,400.  A total way beyond our expectations and for every euro raised, we are truly, truly grateful.

A young Saluki Girl had just been hit by a car on the Curraghline, on the Headford Road, and was in a bad way.

Could we help? Of course we said Yes.
We would have anyway and would have tried our best to find those extra funds needed but thanks to your previous generosity on our Go Fund Me, 2 weeks earlier, we said yes with a much lighter heart.

Sadly, Trias leg couldn't be saved and earlier this week she underwent an amputation before being released into our care. Tria is doing really well and adapting to having lost a back leg (Anyone with a tripod will know how amazing tripods are). We have dealt with many amputation over the years so we know once Trias wound has healed and her stitches are removed, she will be flying around our fields on 3 legs.

But this shouldn't have happened and Tria isn't the first dog and, sadly, wont be the last to be left to wander freely. She is lucky to be alive and, thankfully, no person was injured in this accident but it could have been a totally different scenario.

Tria will now have a future where she will never "wander freely" again. She will be rehabilitated by our wonderful kennel team before starting the search for her forever home. Trias future is now sealed, because of our supporters, animal lovers and genuinely kind people.
Your donation makes a difference. It changes lives.
Thank You.
