Marv - In Foster

Marv came into our care about 3.5 years ago and was lucky enough to quickly find a home with fellow hound lover and friend of us here at Galway SPCA, Marilyn. Marilyn had previously lost her beloved lurcher Burkie (ex GSPCA) and welcomed Marv into her home and heart.

Sadly, Marilyn now has a terminal illness and is struggling to give Marv the daily care he needs, though friends and neighbours have been great. It is with great sadness all round that we now write this post to find Marv a new family.

Marv is approximately 7 years old and is a small rough coated, Whippet x Lurcher. He is described as a true gentleman who really does enjoy the quiet life but still loves to get out on his walks and adventures. Like all Sighthounds, Marv enjoys a good run but this can only be in an enclosed, safe area.

Marv doesn't like quick movements nor off lead dogs arriving into his space as they make him nervous and he is more of a female doggie fan. Marv is looking for a quiet, peaceful home without children or cats. He has the biggest heart inside that little body and he is very affectionate, gentle and kind to those he knows and trusts. He is lead trained and house trained and will bring so much love and joy to the right home.

Please read and share so we can give Marv's mum Marilyn some peace of mind that her boy will be just fine and will be loved and cared for deeply as she does.

Thank You ❤️
